Fortunately, the Emperor’s ancestors constructed a set of stepping stones in the year 753 BC which has withstood the fury of the river! The number of stepping stones in the water is not a coincidence either as it symbolises the month in which the royal family would celebrate the harvest of the elderflower – but which month was that?
